Lately there is a cycle of a bunch of sessions and then days where I am holed up editing and packaging orders, which seem to get finished just in time for the next bunch of sessions. I am starting to get the hang of scheduling so that my work flows smoother and allows me time to post more often.

I was honored to be hired by Jennifer Haggerty of Our World Montessori to take photographs of the very first Our World Montessori 3rd year graduation. Our son Trey attends Our World Montessori and we love Jen and the school!

Jennifer has such a wonderful talent with children, teaching and creating a caring community for her school.

Last night I was editing these photographs, and when I starting working on the last of the three, tears started to fall, as the love shared between this mother daughter and my camera touched a deep part of me.

Something about the way they laughed together. The tender snuggles and their intimacy, that I captured in these photos…brought memories of the tenderness I shared with my own mother, right back to the present moment. What a gift that was.
