Some might expect the inaugural post on a blog associated with a business called “Thea Coughlin Photography” to be:
- about photography
- written by Thea
Well, you’d be wrong on both counts. I am Thea’s husband, Terry, and Thea asked me if I wouldn’t mind contributing to her business once in awhile besides checking her credit card statements. I have a little bit of experience with business writing and a lot of experience in customer service programs. I also happen to have a lot of free time on my hands these days, so I have no excuse to not pitch in.
Thea and I put our heads together and have decided to take a shot at crafting a blog that focuses primarily on two subjects:
- Thea’s pictures and stories of taking pictures
- My stories of people Thea and I have met that have made a memorable impression on us in one way or another. Impressions that may be uniquely positive, or uniquely negative. We hope the majority to be within the positive camp.
Thea has the talent to take pictures that tell stories on their own, with few if any words necessary. I have no such talent, besides an occasional shot of one of our cats falling off a countertop, so I’ll have to rely on typed words. We both hope to entertain, occasionally inspire, and at times step into a bit of controversy. We are both very opinionated, and not shy about it. Some people might like our style, others definitely will not. That’s fine, all are welcome, and encouraged to share their own opinions, regardless of position, in the comment sections of our posts.
Soon I will posting our first “positive impression story”, about a young woman and hair stylist Thea met recently. Please stay tuned, as pictures will be provided.
