Recommended pairing: newborn babies and great coffee ~ Thea Coughlin Albany ~ Saratoga Maternity & Newborn Photographer

I tried to come up with a clever blog title, but am afraid my brain is off for the night.

The past week has been so fun and so exhausting. I have been thrilled to have back to back shoots. This leaves me with little working brain by the end of the day. The past few days once our little guy is asleep, I have just enough time to unload my memory cards and prep for the next day of shooting.

Life is good.

There will be many sneak peaks over the next week, but tonight all I have to share is a quick snapshot I took after hanging my mini photography show of maternity and newborns at the Niskayuna Starbucks coffee shoppe  last night.

My husband was playing tennis, so I brought my little guy with me to hang my work. There was something really delightful about having his help.  He dunked my tea bag for me, dutifully consumed the delish dessert cup of whipped cream and caramel/chocolate drizzles they specially concocted for him after he saw a frothy drink walk out of the store, and made sure the pennies in my bag were being spun on the table in perfect succession, until all the pictures were hung. I must admit I do love hanging my work, with smooth oldies, the humming of my son and the whir of the steam machines playing in the background.

By the time we headed home it was past dark, and my little man got so excited by all the street, store and home lights that sprinkled the dark. Driving home was a delight. It is such a treat to see things through his imagination and innocence.

All in all it was a great night.

Personally I think coffe and newborn babies are a great match.  Don’t you?
