When Linda called me to schedule a maternity photography session, I had a sense that we should schedule it as soon as possible, even though she wasn’t due until June 5th. It is a good thing we did, because tonight I got a call that she went into labor this afternoon.
Linda and I talked about what she had in mind for her photographs. A few minutes in we learned that we share a love for the outdoors and for flowers. The morning before we spoke, I had noticed a great huge lush lawn on my road, with dandelions scattered all about. I mentioned it as a possible location, along with a park that is close by in Niskayuna NY. Because this lawn belongs to someone-albeit there house is like 3/10ths of a mile in from the road, I decided maybe we should meet at the park for the maternity photo session.
When we arrived at the park we discovered that it was PACKED with people playing sports or walking their dog. Not a good place for a romantic maternity shoot! So we got back in our cars and raced the sunset back to the lawn on my road. I am so glad we did. The lawn was perfect for the photographs I had in my mind. The warm spring breeze added even more glamor to Linda’s gorgeous hair and beautiful outfit (if that was even possible:). The love between these two was palpable and so sweet, making this one of the most romantic maternity photo shoots ever!
Tonight I leave you with a few of my favorite photographs from the session and a request that you send lovely ~ painless ~ easy labor wishes Lindas way.
Good luck Linda ~ may your daughter arrive quickly, full of health and a good dose of the sleepies
