More Donnelly Wedding pictures ~ Thea Coughlin ~ Albany NY Wedding Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I posted a sneak peek for Suzanne and Cory’s wedding. The best part of my birthday yesterday was finishing up the wedding pictures, posting them and hearing back from Suzanne and Cory that they loved them! Goodness I adore my work and my clients:)

There are so many photographs, and I have many favorites. It was hard to narrow them down, but here are a few:

I love the flowers against the gray. The white and green were gorgeous together. The florist did a wonderful job.

The church was bustling the morning of the wedding. There were at least 2 other large groups at the church, so space was limited.  The sense of community and family enveloped the whole event and you hardly new there were other people occupying the church during the wedding. This was the room for Suzanne to get ready in. It was small but worked out perfectly. Aren’t these shoes fabulous? I thought they looked nice on the tablecloth that happened to be covering a dresser in the room.

And here is the dress. The fabric was so delicate, shimmery and the trim, oh the trim was divine! I added a bit of texture to the photograph to enhance the vintage feel of the dress.

This is Suzanne’s first rosary. The blue beads made up a perfect something blue. And how pretty is this kerchief?

After the ceremony when we arrived at the reception location, I caught a picture of Suzanne changing into her all stars. I was so excited to photograph them alone for a few minutes before going into the reception. I also thought it was cute that you can see me in the door reflection.

The reception was held at Caffe Lena a folk and acoustic music cafe in Saratoga Springs New York. What a cozy, hip place it is! A definite new addition to my date night destinations list.

The food smelled divine. The caterer was Hattie’s Restaurant (www.hattiesrestaurant.com) in Saratoga Springs. Fun fact: Hattie’s was featured on Throw down with Bobby Flay on the Food Network… and Hattie’s kicked major Bobby booty.;)

and the favors, oh the favors were so original and cute! I asked Suzanne to share the story behind them:

“One day, out of the blue, Cory texted me from work this message: “Boop boop boop boop beep boop boop”
Needless to say, I was quite perplexed, if not a bit amused, and texted him back inquiring about the significance of the message. He wrote back: “That’s robot for ‘I love you’ ”
Since then, “boop” has kind of caught on as a shortened form of endearment for us, and robots have become a kind of romantic icon.

Back light and flare (from the flash of Cory’s mothers camera:), snuggles and kisses…some of my absolute favorite things. This photograph makes my heart flutter.

In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, Suzanne and Cory had a variety of cheesecakes. How yummy do these look? The cheesecakes were made by Cheesecake Machismo in downtown Albany. From Suzanne: “They’re an awesome little indie bake shop that we *love.* We discovered them at our monthly Wit & Will improv comedy shows at Zuzu’s Cafe, and they always sell cheesecake by the slice during intermission.:)” They also got a great review on the All over Albany blog.

Thank you Suzanne and Cory for sharing your day with me. It will always be a beautiful memory.

***had reports that my blog was loading very slow because of all the large pics. I will be updating my galleries and posting all the pics that I had to remove from here soon:)
