30 Days of Yoga

In a bit of a break from posting client sneak peeks, I want to briefly share something that I am very excited about: I started 30 days of yoga!

Why?  I am committed to self care and acceptance of my imperfections

What is my goal? A minimum of 15 minutes every day for the first week.

How am I doing so far? Yesterday I did 20 minutes before Trey came downstairs for breakfast and this morning I did 30.

I don’t know if you have heard of the World’s Biggest Summit hosted by Goddess Leonie, but if you have not I encourage you to check it out. In a nutshell, each day for 30 days videos and podcasts from 100 tremendous and inspirational teachers from around the globe are posted.

I was listening to Willo from Willotoons and loved what she had to say about not just doing what you are good at, but what you feel passionate about. She also talks about working with others instead of trying to do it all yourself (something I personally need to work on). And most importantly to me, she talks of self care. Her entire talk really hit home for me, and motivated me to take action.

When I went to Willo’s website I came across an interview she did with Marianne Elliott, who leads a 30 Days of Yoga class. It is a great interview, well worth a listen.

I will be posting at least once a week throughout the 30 days to share my experience. Wish me luck, and if any of you practice yoga or are thinking about it, please post a comment with any thoughts or tips.

Yay Thea! I’m glad you found a way to try yoga, I know you expressed an interest at one time. I cannot imagine my life without yoga. enjoy the experience and keep coming back to the mat. :)

Jamie-
I too felt intimidated. Marianne is really great though and I am finding it much easier than I thought it would be.
