Newborn Sneak Peek

I loved this tender family/newborn session.

When Erika emailed me a Pinterest board of newborn photographs she loved, it was in direct alignment with the style of photographs that feels truest to my heart these days. My photographic eye has changed a bit and I often find myself a bit torn because I feel like my clients hire me based on the images on my website and I want to be sure they are getting what the envisioned. Obviously the best solution is a website update! I am juggling these days and haven’t gotten to it yet but this session affirms I definitely need to make time for that soon. In the mean while having a Pinterest board where a client has pulled out images from my blog that are my favorites and right in line with where I am, brought joy to my heart. I just love the images we got. Here is a sampling of our session…

Cole ~ Newborn Session Sneak Peek

Meet Cole. Doesn’t he emit joy? I am sure it helps that he is so deeply loved and cherished.

I really enjoyed that we were able to incorporate Cole’s father’s uniform. I am always eager to personalize newborn photo sessions with items, clothing and or furniture that mean something special to the family. Cole’s mom also mentioned she likes vintage props, so I brought a vintage scale my beautiful friend Sarah and her husband bought me as a gift. I hope you enjoy the peek.

Zachary ~ Sneak Peek Baby Photography Session

I first spoke to Zachary’s mom last year when Zachary was still just a dream. We connected immediately and it felt like she was a long lost friend. I love that. Connecting is so important in what I do. I guess it makes sense that you have to feel the love to capture it in a photograph. I am so grateful that my job is all about love.

Lucas ~ Albany Newborn Baby Photographers Sneak Peek

Lucas was pretty alert when we started taking pictures, but he did conk out about half way through.

I just love when my clients make suggestions about incorporating things that are important to them into a session. In this session we used Jason’s guitar as a prop.

Jason and Gina also have an awesome den in their basement (I just loved their whole house!) with a real working jukebox. How cool is that?

This session was so much fun.

Spencer ~ Newborn Photographs Session Sneak Peek

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.This past week my now 6 year old little boy had a week vacation off from Kindergarten. We enjoyed relaxing in the mornings, visiting with friends and family and most of all, spending lots of extra time together.

As I edit Spencer’s newborn photo session, I can’t help but think how quickly time flies, yet how many thousands of memories I have formed of my darling little guy over the past 6 years.

I loved photographing Spencer. He was such a snuggle bug. He was super cooperative and darling. Isn’t he just precious?

I have had this “little prince” hat for a while, just waiting for a newborn little guy…
